Deposit explained

Learn how the security deposit works, when you pay it, what it covers, and when it is returned after your trip.

Updated this week

What is the deposit?
The deposit is a temporary amount held during your rental. It is not a payment, but a security in case something happens during your trip.

How much is the deposit?
The deposit amount depends on the camper you book.
You will always see the exact amount before confirming your booking.

When do I pay the deposit?
The deposit is paid before or at the start of your rental, depending on the booking platform or arrangement.

What does the deposit cover?
The deposit may be used to cover:

  • Damage to the camper

  • Missing inventory items

  • Additional cleaning if the camper is returned very dirty

  • Other costs related to the rental (if applicable)

What happens after my trip?
After you return the camper:

  • We inspect the camper together

  • If everything is in order, the deposit is released

What if there is damage?
If there is damage or missing items:

  • We will explain the situation clearly

  • Costs will be calculated based on repair or replacement

  • The deposit (or part of it) may be used

If needed, we will follow up with further details after the inspection.

Good to know

  • The deposit is not the same as insurance excess

  • Always report any issues during your trip to avoid misunderstandings
