Learn the requirements for renting a camper, including driving licence, minimum age, experience, and what documents you need to bring.

Driving licence

  • You must hold a valid Category B driving licence

  • The licence must be valid at the time of rental

  • Non-EU licences may require an international driving permit


Minimum age

  • The minimum age to rent a camper is typically 23 years

  • Some bookings or insurance policies may require a higher minimum age


Driving experience

  • You must have held your driving licence for at least 1–2 years

  • This may vary depending on the camper or insurance conditions


Additional drivers

  • You can add an extra driver to your booking

  • All drivers must meet the same requirements

  • Driver details must be provided before pickup


Identification

  • You must bring a valid ID or passport

  • All documents will be checked at pickup


Payment requirements

  • The main driver must be present at pickup

  • A deposit is required before or at the start of the rental


Good to know

  • Always bring your original documents (no copies)

  • Make sure your licence is valid for the full duration of your trip
